September 14th (Thursday) - Hursley Club Open Day "HURFEST"

The Hursley Club is holding its Annual Open afternoon, with activities starting at approx. 3.00 pm.  As a special licence has been arranged for this event you may invite all or any of your family and friends: they will be most welcome.

There will be inflatables for the very young, those not so young and even one for adults.  As in previous years there will be 9 hole crazy golf, short tennis and a croquet lawn which will satisfy those wishing to demonstrate their ball skills!  Not forgetting rocket launching, and face painting.  To entertain you there will be a Bike and Car Show and Smooth Blend will be performing on the decking with two sessions between 4 and 7 pm.

If you are feeling peckish, a hog roast with all the trimmings and barbecued deluxe burgers or hotdogs (with onions, salad, relishes etc.) will be available in the afternoon at £5.00.  However, members can purchase as many hog roast or barbecue tickets as they wish in advance at £4.50 from the bar or club office.  To speed up service the normal bar will be supplemented with another outside bar serving a selection of beers, wines and soft drinks.

Did you ever think about what subsection activities are run at the clubhouse but didnít know who to ask or how to contact them?  Now is your chance to meet some of our subsection representatives who will be available to answer your questions about their activities.  Archery will be holding their normal session down on the lower sports field from 5.00 pm, pop down and have a chat.  Table tennis will offer you a game up in the Sports Hall throughout the afternoon.  Many of the subsections will have displays and information points.
