9th May (Thursday)
A Chorus of Disapproval by Alan Ayckbourn at the Salisbury Playhouse
2:15 pm Matinee performance
The story follows a young widower, Guy Jones, as he joins an amateur operatic society that is putting on The Beggar’s Opera.
He rapidly progresses through the ranks to become the male lead, while simultaneously conducting liaisons with several of the female cast.
Alan Ayckbourn’s comedic genius comes to life in this award-winning play and promises his usual brand of hilarious situations.
Tickets will be distributed by a committee member on the day.
You are asked to arrive at the main door between 13.40 and 14.00 at the latest to collect your tickets.
We have reserved the top seats in the theatre and the acoustics are excellent.
This is a drive yourself event but there are excellent park and ride facilities just outside Salisbury which are free with a senior bus pass.

Tour of Winchester College
Join us for a tour of Winchester College, led by an experienced Tour Guide,
concentrating on the medieval heart of the school including
Chamber Court, Chapel, College Hall, Cloisters and the 17th Century School building.
The College was founded in 1382 by William of Wykeham.
No coach, self-drive
Please meet Ingrid at 10:45 at the College Street entrance to the College for a one-hour tour of the college.
Eventbrite has greatly increased its fees, so we’re looking for a way to avoid using them.
We are going to be experimenting with various options, such as using donations which have a lower fee or finding a way to work with TicketTailor.
For this event, we are using TicketTailor, and trusting members who have booked to show up and pay £10 each (Cash is preferred) on the day.
Ingrid will collect your money and pay it into the Club account.
We have to pay in advance, so the Club will lose money on no-shows (and we may ask you to pay later unless we’ve been able to re-sell your place).
Book on TicketTailor, using the link you
should have recently received from Merv.
